April is National Car Care Month, and we are here at Conicelli to answer all your vehicle service questions! Your brakes are easily the most important part of your car. Have you ever questioned how often they need to be replaced? First, it is important to understand the components that make up your braking system.

Your brakes are made up of three main parts: rotors, a metal wheel inside your tire; calipers, which squeeze the rotor and cause friction to slow the car down; and brake pads, which attach to the calipers and prevent them from scraping the rotor directly. As a general rule, you should get your brake pads replaced every 10,000-20,000 miles and your rotors replaced between 50,000-70,000 miles to ensure your brakes are working efficiently.

Is it time for new brakes on your vehicle? Conicelli Service Center is here to help! Call 888-289-5948 or visit ConicelliService.com to schedule your appointment.
